Apple’s eagerly awaited iPhone 15 Pro Max is anticipated to cost more than the iPhone 14 Pro Max. The larger of the two upcoming Pro models will probably cost more than the current starting price of $1,099 for the iPhone 14 Pro Max, according to tech analyst Jeff Pu from Haitong International Securities.

Why this anticipatory Price Hike?
Although the precise causes of the price increase are unknown, industry insiders believe that the iPhone 15 Pro Max’s improved features may have played a role. Notably, the device is said to feature a periscope lens, which would be a significant improvement over the iPhone 14 Pro Max’s 3x zoom capability. Users of this periscope lens would have access to 5x to 6x optical zoom, enabling more flexible and superior photography.
A periscope lens system typically consists of a primary lens that captures the image and an angled mirror or prism that reflects the light 90 degrees towards a secondary lens that directs it to the image sensor. Because the image sensor and secondary lens are positioned sideways in this configuration, more space is available inside.
Pu claims that, in keeping with Apple’s customary release schedule, mass production of the iPhone 15 series will start in August. According to this, the iPhone 15 lineup might be officially unveiled in September. Pu also projects that in the second half of 2023, Apple will produce 84 million iPhone 15 series units, with the Pro models expected to be the most in-demand models in the months immediately following their release.
According to rumours, the Dynamic Island, a USB-C port, and slightly curved frames will be present on each of the four iPhone 15 models, including the Pro Max model. Additionally, 12 extra features and enhancements are anticipated for the Pro models.
