Beginning on July 7, the first 10 lakh Jio Bharat phones will undergo a beta test.
On July 3, Reliance Jio, the telecom division of Reliance Industries Ltd.’s oil-to-retail conglomerate, announced the debut of the internet-enabled “Jio Bharat” phones, with a starting price of Rs 999.
Beginning on July 7, the first 10 lakh Jio Bharat phones will undergo a beta test.
According to a press release from Jio, the phone was introduced with the “2G-mukt Bharat vision” and is meant to give the 250 million feature phone users in the nation who currently use feature phones access to the internet.
